Managing Supply for Construction Project with Uncertain Starting Date
In a construction project, availability of required material at right time at building site is crucial to complete the project on time and within the budget. In this work we assume that enough material supply may not be available on time if the construction project incurs excessive delays unless the project manager has a special contract with the suppliers. Usually suppliers react in two ways towards changes in delivery date; either they may increase the price or provide a limited quantity on the negotiated price. We will discuss both the cases for procurement under uncertain start times of construction project and provide the solution approaches.

We study the problem of designing sustainable supply chain networks and present an integrated approach based on Voice of the Customer (VOC), Sustainable Function Deployment (SFD) and Integer programming. Model results under different scenarios are provided.

Sustainable Supply Chains Planning: Balancing Trade-Offs To Optimize Efficiencies
This article addresses the planning of sustainable supply chains in the presence of two basic environmental regulations that impose product recycling and carbon emissions reduction. The planning task is mathematically formulated as a multi-objective mixed-integer program that simultaneously accounts for the maximization of the net present value, the minimization of the environmental impact and achieve just in time distribution of products. The capabilities of the model and solution procedure are illustrated through an example for which the set of Pareto optimal and efficient solutions that trade-off environmental impact, profit and service level are evaluated. These solutions provide valuable insights into the planning problem of sustainable supply chains and guide the decision maker towards the adoption of more sustainable alternatives while optimizing supply chain efficiencies.

LogiLab: A New Paradigm to Optimize Forest Supply Chains
We have developed a supply chain modelling tool to optimize a network in a divergent processes environment. The tool relies on a generic model that is decoupled from the interface and can be replaced by a custom model. A case study will be presented to demonstrate the capabilities of this tool.
