  New models in hub location: profits for served commodities

  Hub location has received increasing attention in the last thirty years. Nowadays attention focuses on more realistic models, whose relation to network design becomes gradually more explicit. In this talk we discuss some current trends in hub location. We present a new class of models that introduce profits for serving commodities with demand. Alternative modeling hypotheses are considered and exact solution algorithms presented.
