Monday, August 4, 2025

• Registration of participants, welcome and presentation of the Summer School
• Course 1 : Power System Simulation, Professor Jean Mahseredjian, Polytechnique Montreal, Canada.
• Presentation of scientific posters by the participants of the Summer School. An award for the best presentation and poster will also be presented at this session.

Tuesday, August 5, 2025

• Course 2: Large-scale Optimization for Power Systems, Professor Andreas Wätcher, Northwestern University, USA.
• Course 3: Optimization, Control, and Uncertainty in Power Systems, Professor Iman Shames, Australian National University, Australia.

Wednesday, August 6, 2025

• Course 4: Energy policy, speaker to be annonced.
• Industrial visit related to the theme of the Summer School, details to come.

Thursday, August 7, 2025

• Course 5: Machine Learning for Power Systems, Professor Pascal Van Hentenryck, Georgia Institute of Technology, USA.
• Course 6: Subject and speaker to be annonced.
• Networking evening with the energy ecosystem industry.
   

Friday 8 August 2025

• Course 7: Optimization for Demand Response, Professor Johana Matthieu, University of Michigan, USA.

Saturday, August 9, 2025

• An outdoor social activity in the Montreal area will be organized for participants who wish to participate, details to come.

 General information on the program

• The activities will take place on the campus of Polytechnique Montréal, the HEC Montréal campus and at the Mila AI Institute. 
• The breakfast and lunch will be provided to participants by the Summer School.
